Tara Lyons is a leading barrister specialising in financial remedies, cohabitation disputes, and contentious probate and inheritance litigation. She is consistently ranked as a Leading Individual in Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500 and has appeared in a number of reported and notable cases. 

Tara is instructed in complex and high-value financial cases, including matters involving business assets, inherited wealth, pensions, trusts, third-party interests, and nuptial agreements. She has a strong international practice, particularly in cases involving foreign assets and cross-jurisdictional issues, including those connected to the UAE. She also advises on and drafts nuptial agreements and acts in related variation, set-aside, freezing injunction, and enforcement applications.

Her broader practice includes TOLATA and cohabitation disputes, 1975 Act claims, contentious probate matters, will validity challenges, and estate administration issues. Tara also appears in the Court of Protection in property and affairs matters under the Mental Capacity Act 2005. 

Tara is a firm believer in alternative dispute resolution and sits as a private FDR judge and mediator (civil/ hybrid style).
