Philip joined chambers in October 2019 following the successful completion of his pupillage under the supervision of Richard Tambling, Nicholas Chapman and Amber Sheridan. During pupillage he gained experience of a wide range of family law matters, including cases before High Court judges and in the Court of Appeal.
Philip is instructed in all areas of family law, with a particular focus on financial remedy matters.
Publications and Lecturing
During pupillage Philip prepared lectures on applications under Schedule 1 and the court’s approach to non-matrimonial property following Hart.
Following completion of his undergraduate degree in Politics at Queen Mary, University of London, Philip converted to law and undertook an LLM at UCL. He was the recipient of the Joseph Jackson Scholarship from Middle Temple for his BPTC.
Philip has a keen interest in politics. When not catching up on current affairs, he can be found singing bass in the London Philharmonic Choir.
Philip speaks fluent German.
