Philip has a broad family law practice with a particular emphasis on matrimonial finance, cohabitation claims, financial provision for children and private children law.
Philip joined chambers in October 2019 having successfully completed his pupillage under the supervision of Richard Tambling, Nicholas Chapman and Amber Sheridan. During pupillage he assisted on a wide range of family law matters, including complex financial remedy cases in the High Court and the Court of Appeal.

Philip lectures on topical issues in family law.
During pupillage he prepared lectures on applications under Schedule 1 and the court’s approach to non-matrimonial property following Hart.
After studying politics at Queen Mary, University of London, Philip converted to law and undertook an LLM at UCL. He was the recipient of the Joseph Jackson Scholarship from Middle Temple for his BPTC.
Philip sings in the London Philharmonic Choir and speaks fluent German.
